Welcome to the Government Law Section of the State Bar of Texas! We are excited to share a few initiative we have been working on. Last year, our Council established an Amicus Committee to assist governmental entities, particularly smaller entities and municipalities, in need of amicus support. We also are making headway to have Local Government Law recognized as a Legal Specialization in Texas. This is a very distinctive practice area, and we welcome your support for this initiative. Finally, we hope to bring virtual CLEs to our colleagues later this year. Stay tuned for more details.
