As Chief Assistant District Attorney, Josie supervises the DA’s Office Civil Litigation Division. The Civil Litigation Division provides legal advice to the Hidalgo County Commissioners Court and all County elected offices and departments; this includes representing the County’s interests in pending litigation and claims.
Josie began working with the Hidalgo County District Attorney’s Office in 2010. Prior to that, she practiced as a civil litigation attorney and as general counsel for other governmental entities for the preceding 12 years. Josie has been recognized by her peers as a “Rising Star” in the legal profession, as published in the Texas Monthly and Law & Politics magazines.
