Vice Chair

Sandy Hellums-Gomez initially joined Thompson & Horton as Counsel in 2012 after almost a decade in the Haynes and Boone Public Law and Litigation Sections. She became partner in January 2015. Sandy serves a variety of public entities in addition to schools including cities, counties, transportation districts, and port authorities.  She provides general counsel, litigation, and transactional services with an emphasis on infrastructure projects, procurement, commercial and land use disputes.  She also has extensive experience in condemnation, civil rights, elections law, legislative analysis, and open government.  Prior to entering private practice, Sandy served as a Briefing Attorney to the Honorable Leslie Brock Yates on the Fourteenth Court of Appeals.
